01

RSO Signature Framework

Every workplace is experienced through a human nervous system. But that nervous system doesn’t operate in isolation.

Our signature framework connects the resources people bring - vision, composure, reasoning, health, tenacity and collaboration - with the conditions they encounter: work design, relationships and culture.

Around it all sits a changing, uncertain world.

At RSO Partners, we ask two questions: How can we strengthen people? And what are we asking them to be resilient to?

We help organisations build resilience, strengthen connection and redesign unnecessary friction out of work. Because healthier workplaces need both capable people and supportive systems.

02

Psychosocial safety has a rhythm, not a timeline

The same teacher, placed in two different schools, can thrive in one and deteriorate in the other. The difference is not the difficulty of the work. It is the design of the conditions around it.

We help leaders change those conditions through one repeating cycle.

1

See

What is actually generating strain here?

Honest staff conversations, JSECC data and time in the work, so leaders see what staff actually experience.

2

Prioritise

Which one or two things are doing the most damage?

One leadership decision. Choose the hazard doing the most harm, not the one easiest to discuss.

3

Adjust

What condition do we change, at the highest level available?

Change the conditions, not the people. A real control reduces load. It never adds to it.

4

Check

Did it actually work?

Ask staff directly, then tell them what changed. Every completed cycle builds the trust that makes the next one more honest.

Then it repeats. The return to the beginning is not a sign the work is incomplete. It is the work.

The PR6 Resilience Model

A holistic, evidence-based, peer-reviewed framework to measure psychological resilience. These resilience skills are a powerful resource for strengthening the nervous system and improving the subjective experience of work.

See the evidence base here

Vision - Having a clear sense of purpose, direction and optimism about the future.

Composure - Regulating emotions and remaining steady when under pressure.

Reasoning - Thinking flexibly, solving problems, challenging beliefs and adapting when circumstances change.

Health - Maintaining the physical foundations that support energy, recovery and performance.

Tenacity - Persisting through difficulty, setbacks and uncertainty.

Collaboration - Building strong relationships, seeking support and drawing on the strengths of others.

THE JSECC

Job Satisfaction. Engagement. Connection. Context

The JSECC is a measure of organisational work design, relationships and culture. It is like a 24-piece jigsaw puzzle showing an organisation's health. The items of the JSECC inform the psychosocial hazard risk assessment.

Our recent research (Rossouw and McKenzie, 2026) shows that as resilience improves, job satisfaction increases by as much as +46.2%. Engagement increases by as much as +58.3%. Co-worker connection increases by as much as +36.4%.

Investing in the resilience of staff directly influences organisational culture. And more importantly, investing in culture, relationships and work design influences staff resilience.

We have learned that in order to motivate people to invest in themselves, the organisation needs to move first.
